Jobs made him senior VP of industrial design and Ive proceeded to head the design group responsible for most of the company's significant equipment products. Ive's first design assignment was notorious iMac in 1998 that helped make ready for some different designs such as the iPod and in the long run the iPhone and the iPad.
"When we were taking a gander at objects, what our eyes physically saw and what we came to perceive were actually the same. Furthermore, we would ask the same questions, have the same curiosity about things," Ive once clarified the close compatibility he had with Jobs.

Not just Jobs, Ive also had extraordinary professional ties with Tim Cook who took over as CEO in 2011 after Job's demise. In a meeting with the top of the line watch website Hoodinkee, Ive uncovered that the Apple Watch was the first significant item (half-cook) without any inputs from Jobs.
"We didn't discuss watches, or us making a watch," he said, alluding to discussions with Jobs. "I don't recollect him wearing one either."
Ive is currently starting his own design firm LoveFrom which, he says, is simply the name chosen by Jobs. The design master won't say farewell to a total to Apple and would now work with the company as a customer.
"I have the utmost trust in my designer colleagues at Apple who remain my closest friends, and I anticipate working with them for a long time to come," he said in a statement.
